Today, we had the privilege of spending 2 hours with The Shore Center/Bayshore Jointure Commission’s amazing team as we connected through communication, smart choices, resilience, and more.

Now that is what we call community 👏 Name a better way to spend a Saturday than this. A beautiful day surrounded by so many awesome people and our hearts couldn’t be more filled with gratitude.

Huge thank you to NJANA CARES for hosting an incredible fundraiser yesterday! Together, we raised vital funds to support our youth!

A real shoutout to all the volunteers and donors who made this community event a success!

We also have to send love to our amazing friends at Last Wave Brewing Company for opening their doors and taps to our cause!

What a week the Lead U Crew had! With 2-3 crews out daily, it was an action packed and fun filled time being able to connect with so many incredible schools.

From rocking out with smart choices and learning the power of YET to showing kindness and respect by actively listening, we couldn’t be more grateful for the energy of each school we went to!

But we can collaborate and listen! Today, our two crews took over two schools, Ocean Avenue and Old Mill, for the fourth fun filled day of Week of Respect!

The students of Old Mill showed off their communication skills and kindness while Ocean Avenue radiated resiliency and enthusiasm while making the smart choice!

JD here - so this week I brought some pretty awesome people into the mix and they provided me with the word WAVE.

A special shoutout to Dani of @lastwavebrewing , her adorable kids, and Andrea of @therealnjana for giving me this week’s word!

I stand here waving at you in front of Last Wave to remind you that you’re doing great and you’re going to be alright. When people say “comes in WAVES”, I believe that. The good, the bad, and everything in between so focus on the good, know the bad is temporary, and remember you’ve got this!

I also want to remind you about this Saturday’s Cheers for Change event here at Last Wave with our friends at NJANA Cares! Family friendly, open to the public and free to enter, it’s gonna be a great time!
